Joint proposal to ERC
Nine very active network members applied for a three-year research grant at the European Research Council to study regeneration dynamics after silvicultural treatments, stand growth, wood quality and ecosystem services on the base of the Northern European experiments.
​Collaboration with PRIFOR
Some of our network members will travel to Tartu in August and present the network and their studies on the scientific conference on Natural disturbances Forest landscape mosaics: disturbance, restoration and management at times of global change.
Field visit of CCF experiments
On September 25, after the workshop, we will visit the single-tree selection experiment in Fagerland and the conversion experiment in Halåsen.

Finishing the research article
We want to submit a scientific article until December 2014 on natural regeneration dynamics observed under different shelter conditions after partial harvest in the experiments.
Workshop on natural regeneration
On September 23-24, a workshop is organized in Umeå. We already collected the available data and started the analysis. Please, contact Lars Drössler (Lars.drossler@slu.se) until the end of June if you would like to contribute with data covering five-year observations or more on regeneration. This will be a pre-requisite to participate in writing the scientific paper.
Scientific conference in Halmstad
A few of us applied for the conference in Halmstad in August 25-28 "Vegetation management: habitat, production and environment" to present studies on regeneration under shelter after soil preparation measures to promote the establishment.
